From Resurrection Life To Ascension Life

As we move into a new season and life begins to emerge in our gardens and on our trees, I am reminded that life doesn’t stop at the resurrection.  The resurrection of Christ is the pathway to a new and beautiful experience of the ascension.  We talk about the ascension, understand the ascension, but do we grasp the power that is found in the Ascended Christ.  The clear challenge of the resurrection life going forward in Romans 6 is that Jesus wants all of us.  We have to take that step of faith and go past the point of no return.  Just like cliff jumping into water or jumping off the Belwood bridge as I shared on Sunday, He doesn’t want us to hold anything back.  When you actually jump off, there’s no turning back because you can’t stop midflight!  It is then and only then that we truly come to grips with living the Christ life.  From coming alive with resurrection life to living in its new power will take shape as we understand the ‘ascended life of Christ’ where He reigns and the Holy Spirit empowers!
